Project Mel

Cobalt, Nickel and Copper

  • StrategX has established and owns a 20-man camp in the high arctic on the Melville Peninsula, Nunavut. The camp is located within the Company’s large mineral tenure of about 95,000 hectares comprising both claims and permits. Having a camp allows StrategX excellent access to the area allowing it to be a pioneer for the exploration of critical and strategic elements in this area of arctic Canada.

  • Rock samples from Project Mel have returned assays showing precious metals (gold and silver) as well as metals that are required for the green movement: copper, cobalt, molybdenum, nickel, vanadium, and platinum group elements. Many of these mineral occurrences were found decades ago during exploration for other minerals and were overlooked because of low metal prices at that time. Technological advancements in the energy and battery sectors have created rising demand for these metals making Project Mel an attractive region to explore and make new discoveries.

  • StrategX is the first company to explore and test for strategic and critical minerals on the Melville Peninsula. Having decades of experience and a camp on the project gives the Company remarkable opportunity and logistic advantage to explore efficiently in Nunavut. Currently Project Mel shows the discover potential for multiple commodities that are necessary for the mass production and widespread adoption of green energy technologies.
